It's official; nobody does mass light saber battles like Toronto does!

Lightsabers of all colours clashed at Nathan Phillips Square this October 24th, 2015. Hues of red representing evil, green and blues for the light side and yellows and purples for those that dwell in the "grays" of the force swirled across the night skies as Toronto celebrated its love of Star Wars just before the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

But how do hundreds of people know to gather and bring their light sabers? Contrary to popular belief, we don't just feel a disturbance in the force. These events are actually put together by a Toronto group called Newmindspace. It is 100% free to come and battle at these events but they do allow you to buy a light saber for just $5 if you get the early bird price, and then $20 until the stock is depleted. Newmindspace puts on these lightsaber battles in many major cities: Toronto, New York, San Francisco, LA, and it appears to be expanding.

With Star Wars Episode VII tickets already available for purchase, a battle like this is more than welcome!
